Bobbye Graves Fredieu

 

A Memorial Service for Bobbye Graves Fredieu, 83, will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive Bossier City, Louisiana, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery 5185 Swan Lake Road, Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Officiating the service will be Father Fidel Mondragon

Bobbye Lavelle Graves was born on November 29, 1940, to Arse Robert Graves and Molly Lavelle Graves in Savannah, Georgia and passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, December 3, 2023, in Mesquite, Texas.

Bobbye was a beautiful young woman who married Melvin Fredieu in 1959. They had two children together. She was a homemaker and housewife until she went to college in the late 60’s to become a Registered Nurse. She went to work at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana caring for others for thirty years until she retired. She was a woman of faith who loved God with her whole heart. She attended Christ the King Church in Bossier City, Louisiana, for many years.

Bobbye loved to travel to different states and take vacations with her family. She really enjoyed going to Hot Springs, Arkansas. She found peace in her flower garden and loved nurturing her plants. She was a dog lover but was especially fond of Pomeranians. She had many of them over the years that she raised, loved, and cared for. She always wanted the best for the ones she loved. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Bobbye Graves Fredieu was preceded in death by her parents; husband Melvin Leo Fredieu; and beloved pets. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kenneth C. Fredieu and wife, Yudelka; daughter Melanie Ann Goodrow and husband, Rodney; Goddaughter, Julie Kitchings and husband, Chad; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Graves and wife, Patsy; fur babies, Lily and Liam along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff, doctors, and nurses, at Bradfield Place in Mesquite, Texas for the care and compassion they showed to Bobbye during this time.
