Poppie was a loving and kind man. He is the strongest man I have ever known. He inspired all who was around him. and loved by many. He was a man who put family first before all other things. He had a devote faith in the lord. He was a fighter. He survived a 5 heart bypass surgery. He continued to live 2 more years. He taught all of us many life lessons. Irene - Sandra and I saw the obituary in the paper and wanted you to know we are thinking about you. We remember the wonderful times you helped us take care of Oliver. Oliver is now 17 and a junior at First Coast Christian School. We did not know Fred was from Wilmington. Sandra was born and raised in Wilmington, and lived in Forest Hills.
