Albina Kosciolek Obituary
Albina C. Kosciolek, 92, of E. Bertsch St., Lansford, passed away Monday at her residence. She was the widow of Thaddeus "Teddy" Kosciolek, who passed away in 1977.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Kasmer's Bar from 1953 to 1988.
Born in Nesquehoning, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Sroka) Marczyk.
Albina was a member of the former SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Lansford, where she was a member of the Church's Ladies Group. She was a current member of St. Katharine Drexel Roman Catholic Church, Lansford.
Surviving are three sons, Thaddeus Kosciolek and his wife MaryAnne of Allentown, Stanley Kosciolek and his wife Linda of South Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Casimir Kosciolek and his wife Betteanne of Lake Hauto; three daughters, Adele, wife of Tim Cadden of Laurys Station, Ann Marie, wife of Michael Clausius of Lansford and Roseanne, wife of Jim Bumbulsky of Hometown; 12 grandchildren ; a great granddaughter; a sister, Bernadine Marczyk of Nesquehoning; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Marczyk; sisters, Mary Quashnoc, Violet Ligenza, Helen Heatherington, Stella Marczyk, Anna Kociolek, and Sophie Marczyk; and a sister-in-law, Sophie Sroka.
Service: 10:30 a.m., Friday, Skrabak-Parambo Funeral Home, 210 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m., St. Katharine Roman Catholic Church, Lansford. Interment, Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday or 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Memorials in her name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
