My condolences. Mrs. Abel was always kind to me when I was a child.

Marilyn was such a funny and sarcastic lady. I worked at Oak Terrace for about 2 years and she made the experience worth while. She often times was very tired and did not want to get out of bed, but I could always get her up by offering her a cup of coffee. She LOVED coffee. One day she was telling me how she was tired and since it was only 6pm, I offered to bring her to the piano we had in the living room. She seemed up to try it out. She would play different notes and match pitch with her voice. I don't know much piano, but I played what I did know and she seemed to like it. She seemed so happy and it was not until I read her obituary that I found out that she used to play piano. There was also another time when she asked me to buy her "2 doughnuts in a baggy for her trip to Toledo". Now I know where she got the "Toledo" part, haha. I love when some memories still stick with a person, even after getting Alzheimer's/dementia. Marilyn was a great person and a joy to have around.

I remember Marilyn fondly from Toledo, Clark Lake, and after she moved to Julie's. The last time I saw her (at dinner with Julie and Rick a few years ago), she slipped me a small gift (a notepad). Her kindness continued over many years. I will always remember her with a smile. Condolences to her family.❤

I remember a day at ClarkLake when my brother John fell between 2 docks and had to go to the hospital in Jackson. My brother Mike and I had to stay at your place at the time and we had so much fun. Remember only bits and pieces of the day.
