Marcia Stanton Obituary
Marcia Lynn Stanton was born July 28, 1958, to Fred Stanton, Sr., and Willie Mae Stanton and passed on June 14, 2018. Marcia was a licensed cosmetologist and an ordained, licensed minister at Lighthouse Fellowship Prayer Tower. Marcia attended the University of Toledo as a voice major. She graduated from Whitney Vocational High School in 1976. Marcia was a renowned gospel artist. Marcia's artwork received recognition at the Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio. Marcia took lessons in metal design at the Toledo Museum of Art. She was also a talented playwright.
Marcia was preceded in death by both parents. She is survived by five siblings: Phyllis Anderson (Ernest), Fred Stanton, Jr., (JoAnn), Michael Stanton, Renee Stanton, and Glen Stanton (Limie). Marcia's life was an illustration of what the "Joy of the Lord" meant.
Public viewing at House of Day on Thursday, June 21, 2018, 7–9 p.m. Services will be on Friday, June 22, 2018, 9 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church.
In spite of life's circumstances, her spirit remained undaunted, and her love for her family never ceased.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
II Timothy 4:7.

God bless the Stanton family always. I have so many fond memories of this beautiful Jewel and her passing saddens me deeply. It only grieves me more that I am not able to be with you in Toledo today as Marcia and others of you came to share with us in our time of loss and sorrow. I can still hear her singing at my mother's funeral years ago the words "I believe I can fly." I believe Marcia has earned her wings, so fly darling Marcia, fly.

I am heartbroken over Marcia's passing. She was considered a friend of mine for more than 35 years. She was a phenomenal person , hairsylist and mentor. My daughter grew up around Marcia and gardered a wealth of knowledge about the field of cosmetology from her. We are truly missing an angel . always had a smile and a kind word. To Marcia's family i am sorry for your loss and i will keep each of you in my prayers.

Marcia was one of the most beautiful people that I have had the pleasure of meeting. Her beauty bubbled up from the inside and illuminated every thing she did. Her life was an example of spiritual excellence. My heart felt condolences go out to her family and Friends.
