Catherine Androstic Obituary
Born Feb. 12, 1918, in West Derry, Derry Township, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Rose Verona Dropchak. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and a lifetime resident of Derry Township. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and game playing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike J., on Jan. 11, 2001; three sisters, Mary, Rosemary and Helen; and two brothers, Donald and infant John. She is survived by a son, James and wife, Patricia, of Derry; two daughters, Mrs. Cloyd (Marie) Ream, Indiana, and Mrs. Gary (Evelyn) Friedline, New Alexandria; a sister, Ann Williams, Sharpsburg; a number of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Also 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday in St. Rose Church, Bradenville, by Fr. William P. Donahue. Interment was in St. Rose Cemetery.
