Bernard was born on October 18, 1952 and passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. After high school, Bernie joined the U.S. Army, then the WI Army National Guard. Bernie was a man who'd do anything to help out family, friends, or even a complete stranger, and he adored his grandchildren. Bernie is survived by wife Diane, children Nathan (Mary Grace), Jered, and Jenny (Jason Welter); granddaughters Leana and Aria Biesek, and grandson Carson Welter; and siblings Art (Joanne), Bill (Fran), Gene, Marty (Gwen), Rita Mead (Bill), Jo Ann Johnson (Joe).He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Jimmy and Marvin Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed with military honors. The family will greet relatives and friends at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma on Monday evening from 5PM to 7PM and again at church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM Visitation at the Leikness Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on November 4, 2019.
