Edith Bornsen Arthur, ND Edith Bornsen, 89, Arthur, ND, died on Saturday, May 5, 2012 in the Arthur Good Samaritan Center. Edith Rettke was born on June 1, 1922 in Niagara, ND. She grew up and graduated from high school in Niagara. Edith taught school for a short time in rural Niagara. She married Clarence Bornsen on June 21, 1943 in Grand Forks, ND. They farmed near Inkster, ND, for many years until 1987, when Mr. Bornsen passed away. Edith has lived in several places in ND and WI over the years, until moving to the Good Samaritan Center in Arthur in Feb. of 2011. She is survived by her children, Clarence James (Ellen), Arlington, TX, Jack (Sandra), Holcombe, WI, Gary (Sue), Inkster, ND, Susan (Rand) Bornsen, Fargo, ND, Peggy (Glenn) Krueger, Amenia, ND; grandchildren, Steve Bornsen, Brett Bornsen, Nathan (Erin) Bode, Lee Anderson, Sheyenne (Chris) Seely, Terri Bornsen, Jennifer (John) Trewitt, Jesika Bornsen, Anna (Kirk) Joles, Katrina Bode, Kristin and Shannen Bornsen; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Bette Rettke, Rice Lake, WI; brothers, Armond "Dennis" Rettke, Park Rapids, MN, Kenneth (Patsy) Rettke, Rice Lake, WI and Richard (Patty) Rettke, Punta Gorda, FL. Funeral: Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 2 pm in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Niagara, ND, with visitation one hour prior in the church. Burial: St. Andrew's Lutheran Cemetery, Niagara, ND.
