Dear Leo,
I miss your friendship. I miss talking to you and laughing with you. I miss having a trusted friend who always gave me sound advice. I miss your crazy stories from when you were a kid. I miss you whacking me in the head with the newspaper. I miss making breakfast for you. I miss the fun and funny car rides, with Carter howling in the back seat or mooching food from us. I am so grateful that you were in my life and become such an important person to me. I miss you so much. I miss Carter terribly, too. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
And thank you.
Carolyn

Grandpa, I often wonder why bad things happen to the most beautiful/good people. Then I picture myself in a field full of flowers, getting ready to gather some. I would always pick the best. Maybe that's why God chose you. I will always cherish your quick wit and sense of humor during our many conversations. I like to think I got those qualities from you. (Along with your curly hair.) There will not be a day that goes by that I won't think of/miss you. I love you to the depths of the Earth. Until we meet again. RIP, <3.
