Patricia Ann Meandro, age 86, passed away April 27, 2017 in Pflugerville, Texas from Alzheimer's disease. Born April 2, 1931 in New Castle, Indiana, she lived in many cities as a child, but settled in San Antonio for 50 years where she raised her family. Patricia was a member of Shepard King Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Her rendition of the song of the Lord's Prayer "Our Father" was inspiring and memorable to all who experienced it. Survivors include sons: Mark Meandro (Valerie) and Mike Meandro (Ellen), four grandchildren: Michelle Halperin (Marc), Robert Meandro (Leslie), Lauren Meandro, and Allie Meandro, and two great grandchildren: Kylee and Cambria Meandro. Patricia was preceded in death by her former husband Fred A. Meandro in 2012 and granddaughter, Charis Meandro in 2013. Viewing and visitation will be held Sunday night, April 30th, from 7-9pm at Weed-Corley-Fish, 2620 South Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78704. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 1st at 11:00 am at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks, 6300 W William Cannon Drive, Austin TX 78749. Relatives and friends are welcome. The family thanks Pat's doctors, care givers at Clare Creek Care Home, Resolutions Hospice, Weed-Corley-Fish, and family and friends for their love support and prayers. Memorial contributions are welcome at Alzheimer Association at www.alz.org.
