I'm so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was a true gentleman and very kind to my Aunt when he was at Addington. We chatted one day and remembered Raytown High fondly. He son was in my class.

Mr B was Vice Principal when I was in high school. I skipped school one day and was sent to his office. I was a nervous wreck but he was so kind and we had a nice talk. I never skipped again! I ran into him through the years after he retired and he always had time to chat and chat and chat! Such a nice and caring man. Condolences to his family.

So sad to hear of Coach Beissenherz' death. He was a man for all seasons who, along with wife Margaret, were like second parents. He will live on in my memory as a wonderful human being. Dennis K Allen, Greenville, SC

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Coach Biz was our basketball coach in the late 50's, as well as assistant coaching the other sports. Great guy that was always a gentleman, and a good teacher!

He will be missed.

I HAD MR. BEISSENHERZ FOR 7H GRADE HEALTH. HE WAS FRESH OUT OF COLLEGE AND HIS WIFE WAS STILL IN COLLEGE IN WARRENSBURG.
I REMEMBER HE GOT RED IN THE FACE WITH EMBARESSMENT WHEN TRYING TO TALK ABOUT GIRLS AND THEIR MONTHLY "CURSE". THOSE SUBJECTS WERE RARELY TALKED ABOUT IN A CLASSROOM.
HE AND MRS. "B" AS WE CALLED HER WERE AN AMAZING COUPLE AND I FEEL HONORED TO HAVE HAD THEM FOR TEACHERS IN THE 50'S.

So sorry for your loss. I spoke to Mr. Beissenherz much more these last few years while he was a resident at Addington Place in Lee's Summit, where my mother also resides. He did love to talk and talk about the past. I don't know that I spoke to him at all when I attended Raytown High, but he said he remembered me. He was a wonderful man, I enjoyed visiting with him these last few years, and his wife also before her passing.

I first met Dick when he wanted me to teach some adult education classes for him. That was almost 50 years ago. I worked with him on various committees over the years. Dick was a fine gentleman and professional colleague. My sincere condolences to Margaret and his family.

Dick was a kind, thoughtful gentleman. His smile, sense of humor, and encouragement made a big difference to me when I came to serve in Raytown. He was certainly part of the legacy of excellence that I was fortunate enough to experience there.

Dick was a classic example of how a man should live an outstanding life... with dignity and love of family. He and Margaret where the best example of a good married couple. Will remember them with fondness.

Remembering my years at RHS and our vice principal, Mr. Beissenhertz. Fortunately, I was never called to his office for any disciplinary problems and remember him as a handsome, stylish guy who performed his job well. RIP Mr. Beissenherz.

Nicest man ever - so polite and so kind to all - as Shakespeare put it - his life was gentle, and the elements so mixed in him that Nature might stand up and say to all the world, This was a man.

Mr. Beissenherz was vice principal when I was at RHS. I had to go to his office for a behavioral problem, but he was very cool. I always liked him. The last time I talked with him and his wife was in 1994 at our 30th class reunion. He was always a very pleasant, comfortable guy. He had a good, long life. Best wishes to his family!

Sending thoughts and prayers to Mrs. B and the family. I remember my senior year (72-73), Kevin Mason was in the hospital, so the cheerleaders went to Mr. B's office and asked him if he would let us "skip" 6th hour to go visit Kevin.....he let us go. Such a sweet man....always had a smile to share.

Dick and Margaret were wonderful people... Cream of the crop! She was my PE teacher in junior high school and he was my counselor in high school. Dick sold my first house and helped me by my second house. He was such a sweetheart guiding me through the process. He and Margaret gave me a $100 gift certificate. What realtor does that ... Dick Beissenherz! Im sorry I didnt get to see them in their later years. May God bless them and their family.
