Thomas Amenhauser Obituary

Published by Radzieta Funeral Home on Apr. 11, 2016.
Amenhauser Sr., Thomas M. 61 – of Erma, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 11, 2016. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was a lifelong Cape May County resident who attended St. Ann's Grade School and Wildwood Catholic H.S. He started in the banking industry which turned into a 38 year career where he provided for his wife and children. For the last 2 years he was employed at Broadley's in Marmora enjoying new ventures in business. He volunteered 20 years of his life to the St. Ann's C.Y.O. where he was a basketball coach and board member. His love of basketball carried him to 16 years of refereeing. He officiated games from grade school to high school levels. When he became a grandfather he devoted his life to both grandchildren whom he loved to no end. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie; son Thomas Jr., daughter Dana, and daughter-in-law Nicolle; his beloved grandchildren Abigail and Jordan; brothers Jim, Paul, and Mark; and his many nieces and nephews. He is sadly predeceased by his brother Jack. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Love of Linda Cancer Trust, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260 and Survivors of Cancer (SOCS) PO Box 266, Wildwood, NJ 08260. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Tom back in the late eighties at Midlantic Bank in Cape May County and Wildwood. He was a good man and a good manager. Sorry I'm just seeing this now, but he recently came to mind.

Love you uncle Tom! You will be truly missed by many. I will always remember those "bad calls" you called on me back in my basketball days, what I would do for one last "bad call" from you!

Tom helped me get started into coaching when invited me to help at practices and assist him with games at St. Ann's grade school.

We met through his wife Margie who I worked with at the time at the Sturdy Savings Bank Christmas Party and have been friends ever since.

Tom helped me to find my voice through coaching and follow my passion to be a leader of young men that I still do to this day at Oakcrest High School.

Thank you Tom and rest easy my friend I am forever grateful.

Cousins are your friends forever! I remember Easters with my Dad's, brother's family in Wildwood on 18th Street. My Dad and his brother, my Uncle John, at their "best" and "badest" just loving being together! My aunt supplying frozen grapes and my Uncle barking at the dog! My 5 male cousins. Coming from a family of mostly girls, I was always impressed by their antics! Tom was always laughing! I remember cruising Pacific Ave and meeting Tom and Margie at the Stardust. Then more recently meeting Tom and Margie at the Beach in North Wildwood and just enjoying the sun and the sand! Take comfort in your sweet memories and peace in all of the prayers being said for Tom and your family!
With our deepest sympathy from one part of the Amenhauser family to another!
