Nellye Haase

Nellye ÒMimiÓ Jane Haase, 98, died July 9, 2005 of natural causes. She was born in Timmonsville, S.C. She was a resident of Victorville for eight years and Pomona for 40 of her 48 years in California. She retired from the state of California. She was also a hairdresser. She loved golf, swimming and traveling worldwide. She was a member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Pomona for 40 years. She is survived by her sons, David Haase of Chino and Nando Haase of Hesperia, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nando Haase Sr., and her daughter, Gwen Leary. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sterling Commons, 17797 Lindero Road in Victorville, with Pastor Steve Arsenault officiating. Burial will be held privately at Forest Lawn Covina Hills. Sunset Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.
