Bonnie Reever Obituary

YORK Bonnie Lou Reever, 77, of Springfield Township, died peacefully in her sleep at home on the morning of Tuesday, March 1, 2011. She was the loving wife of J. Fred Reever, Jr. to whom she was married for 57 years. Born September 13, 1933, in York, a daughter of the late Milburn and Luella (Fix) Lehman, she was a 1951 graduate of William Penn High School, and in the past worked for many years as a legal secretary to James Lecrone, Esq., and Griffiths, Strickler and Kagen. She had a very special friendship with her card club and aerobics groups of "girls". Very precious to her were her Sunday dinners with her family and her pets. She was greatly loved and will be missed very much. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Reever was the loving mother of two sons, Dennis M. Reever and John A. Reever, both of York; a daughter, Deborah L. Bovender of York; three grandchildren, Joshua Bovender, Kiehl Reever, and Corey Reever; two brothers, Michael Lehman of Chambersburg and Alan Lehman of Red Lion; and a sister, Rita Henry of York. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S. George St., York (the former Hahn Home). KuhnerAssociates.com

Dear Fred, Denny, Debbie, John and Family,

Bonnie was one-of-a-kind. I loved her like a mom from the day I met her. Her warm, caring and loving personality made a great impact on my life and I draw on my memory of her often as an example of how to treat my own son. I haven't seen her in quite a while, but over the years she remained with me in spirit, just as she will now. She has a very special place in my heart and always will. I am grateful for the time I got to spend with her.

Please accept my sincerest condolences. May God bless you and help to heal your hearts.
