Scott ILgenfritz Obituary

ILgenfritz, Sr. YORK Scott L. ILgenfritz, Sr., 61, was called home on Sunday, May 25, 2014, from his residence. He was the husband of Joyce (Smeltzer) Taylor- ILgenfritz. Born on June 18, 1952, in York, he was the son of the late Thomas N. and Betty L. (Wallick) ILgenfritz, Sr. Mr. ILgenfritz worked at Teledyne McKay and retired from Campbell Chain. Mr. ILgenfritz served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW of Hellam, Dover Fish and Game, the Susquehanna Fish and Game Association. and a member of York First Church of God. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian S. ILgenfritz; a granddaughter, Courtney ILgenfritz; a brother, Thomas N. (Diane) ILgenfritz, Jr.; two sisters, Rae Jean ILgenfritz-Smith and Tracy L. (Pete) ILgenfritz-Arinsberg, Jr.; and two stepchildren, Colleen Raffensberger and Michael Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family. Mr. ILgenfritz was preceded in death by a son, Scott Lee "Scottie" ILgenfritz, and a sister, Betty Marie (ILgenfritz) Bradford. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the York First Church of God, 519 Vander Ave., York, followed by an 11 a.m. service at the church with the Rev. Glenn A. Detter officiating. There will be military rites held at 11 a.m. at the church with the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave. , York, PA 17403 to help defray funeral expenses. KefferFH.com

So sorry Joyce, I didn't know. My Dad George Ilgenfritz passed on Jan 2, 2014, I used to enjoy talking to Scott and you when I lived on Blessing Blvd. Oh yes and TI'm passed away it be 3 yrs in march. I'm doing well. I hope the same for you.Take care, Love Stephanie Ilgenfritz.

Thank you so much for being a part of my brothers life in these last few years. You found a not so healthy man but you gave so much life back to him.
