Helen Louise Drawbaugh

York - Helen Louise Drawbaugh, 96, died April 14, 2021 at SpiriTrust Lutheran. She was the wife of the late John Drawbaugh, Jr. Helen and John were married for 51 years prior to John's death in 1997.

Born April 12, 1925 in West York, she was the daughter of the late Alice Ruth (Lau) and Clarence Haverstock, Sr.

Helen retired from the York County District Attorney's Office after 23 years as a secretary.

Helen was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church in West York where she was active in many aspects of the church including, the Sunshine Workers, Married Couples Class, Prayer Shawl Ministries, and Food Ministries. She loved to knit, read, and do jigsaw puzzles. Helen was a 1943 graduate of West York High School.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Uhler and her husband, Tom of Sanibel, FL; 2 sons, Rodney Drawbaugh and his wife, Marie of York and J. Kevin Drawbaugh and his wife, Lisa of York; 3 granddaughters, Carolyn McGuire, Sarah Drawbaugh, and Olivia Drawbaugh; and 3 great grandchildren, Jacob and Bethany Drawbaugh and Gabriel Besore. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Haverstock, Jr.; a sister, Mary Ellen Galloway; and 2 daughters-in-law, Patricia Drawbaugh and Rebecca Drawbaugh.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler-Koller Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2000 W. Market Street, York. A graveside services will be held following the viewing at 11:30 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 700 North George Street, York. Please meet at the Pennsylvania Ave. entrance of the cemetery at 11:15 a.m. if not attending the viewing. Rev. Mitchell M. Galloway and the Rev. Elizabeth C. Polanzke will be officiating.
