David R. McKenzie

RED LION David R. 'The Hammer' McKenzie, 50, passed away Friday, October 26, 2007, at 4:20 p.m., as a result of an automobile ac cident in York Township. He was the husband of Linda (Feltenberger) McKenzie of Red Lion. He was born October 2, 1957, in York, a son of David E. McKenzie of York and Katherine (Small) Runk of Pompano Beach, Fla. Dave was a self-employed contractor. He was a volunteer for the York Benevolent Association and a graduate of the York County School of Technology. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by two sons, Greg McKenzie and Terrian McKenzie, both at home; a daughter, Andora McKenzie, also at home; five brothers, David S. McKenzie of Seven Valleys, John J. McKenzie of York, Kevin T. McKenzie of Virginia Beach, Fla., Robert A. McKenzie of York, and James B. McKenzie of Springfield, Ore.; two sisters, Kristal M. Boyer and Jeanenne K. Naylor, both of York; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura M. McKenzie and Kelcey M. McKenzie. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service 1111 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. Fred A. Walthour, pastor of Salem United Church of Christ of Jacobus, officiating. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
