Jerelyn Cady

Jerelyn Lucile Cady, age 68, passed away on June 10, 2025. Born on September 9, 1956, in Burbank, California, Jerelyn was the daughter of the late John Platt and Dorothy Adams-Briggs. She graduated from Westwood High School in 1974 and later earned her diploma from Southwestern Prep School for Medical Assistants. Jerelyn began her career at Mesa Lutheran Hospital, where she worked as Chief Technologist. In 1976, she married the love of her life, Dennis Cady. They started Vets Plumbing and built a successful career and life while raising two beautiful daughters, Jessica and Alexis, whom they loved dearly. They shared 48 wonderful years of marriage and unwavering love for one another. Jerelyn was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She was known for her warmth, kindness, infectious laughter, and unwavering faith. She found joy in motorcycle rides, weekends at the cabin, visits to San Diego with Dennis, and every precious moment spent with family. She also had a well-known sweet tooth and never missed a chance to indulge in a treat. Jerelyn is survived by her husband, Dennis; her daughters, Jessica and Alexis; her brother, John (Neta); her best friend, Linda McGuire-Betts; and many other beloved friends and family. A celebration of Jerelyn's life will be held on Saturday, July 5th, at Church of the Redeemer at 11:00am. Flowers and cards may be sent to: 535 E.
