Theodore Reese Obituary

Theodore A. Reese (1949-2025) Theodore "Ted" A. Reese, 75, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, in Cave Creek, AZ. He was born in Skokie, IL, to Theodore and Alice Reese. One of seven children, he grew up in a lively, bustling household that shaped his deep love for family and his natural ability to lead. He carried that warmheartedness into everything he did. Ted leaves behind a family who was his greatest source of pride and joy. Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Rhonda Sanders Reese, and his children, Greg Reese, Kelly Bennett (Ryan), and Jenna Feeney (Jack). He was previously married to Elizabeth Reese, the mother of his children. Theodore was a proud and loving grandfather to Ava and Ashlyn Reese, Chase and Cole Bennett, and Theodore, Bowman, and Johnny Feeney. Ted was especially close to his mother-in-law, Rachel Sanders, in laws, Renee and Dan Misischia and nephews Jacob and Mitchell Misischia. He is also survived by his siblings, Thomas Reese (Winikay, †2022), Judith Coughlin (Raymond), Gregory Reese (Mary), Jonathan Reese (Nancy), and Alice Mugnaini (Dino). He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Reese (Joan) and father-in-law, William Sanders. Ted leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and was honored to be the godfather to Tracy Bafia, Ryan Healy †2013, Erin Reese and Bridget Mugnaini. Theodore attended Notre Dame High School in Niles, Il and went on to earn his accounting degree from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota setting the foundation for a career marked by hard work, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to others. He founded Corporate Benefit Consultants in 1996, a firm he deeply loved. More than just a career, Ted was filled with friendships, mentorships, and a deep sense of pride in the work he did. What mattered most to him were the relationships he built – ones that lasted long after he retired in 2015. Ted was an incredible husband, father, brother, Papa, uncle, friend, and son – a man whose love knew no bounds and whose presence could light up any room. To know Ted was to be welcomed like family. With his dynamic and larger than life personality, anyone who knew Ted knew he loved to make people laugh, sometimes with a well-placed joke, other times with an off-color remark that may have caused a few raised eyebrows. He was a master storyteller, his sense of humor was bold, unfiltered, and always memorable. Beneath the sharp wit, he had a heart of gold, and his kindness and loyalty to family and friends never wavered. In remembrance of Ted, honor his memory by living fully. Live in a way that makes his spirit smile. For all the laughs and good times, while alive, he lived. Let us do the same. A celebration of Theodore's life will be held June 20th, 2025, in Illinois. Catholic Mass at St. Peter's Church, Skokie, Illinois at 11:00 AM and a Celebration of Life luncheon at Sunset Ridge Country Club in Northfield, at 1:00 PM. Four years at Notre Dame, got to know Ted as a very smart student. Always had a joke or two to keep us laughing. So sorry for the many family members loss, enjoy the memories. He will be missed by many. Living in Arizona, wish I could attend the service.

I know Ted - Teddy as I knew him in grade school at St. Peters Catholic School. Teddy was too young to leave us so soon. Although I have not seen Teddy in quite a lot of years, when I saw his picture in his beautiful obituary, I knew that was Teddy and how handsome he was in 1963 and still in 2025.
