Abe Sanchez Obituary
RMC Abe Sanchez Jr., 89, born December 18, 1926 entered into eternal life on December 27, 2015. He was born to Ester Archuleta and Abedon A. Sanchez in Clayton NM. Abe was a Naval Chief and served his country with honor for 22 ½ years. He retired from the US Navy in 1970. Abe was honored to receive numerous medals and awards during his service. He then worked for the US Postal service for 14 years.
Abe was a beloved son, husband and father. He was dedicated to his family. Abe was always there when someone needed help. He will be dearly missed by all. Abe was preceded in death by his wife, Margie; father, Abedon; mother, Ester; grandson, Louis Jr; sister, Juanita; and brothers, LB, Edward and Ernie. Abe is survived by three children, son, Louis Abe Sanchez and wife Nadine, daughter, Karen Patricia Wigley and husband Buster, and daughter, Teresa Kay Gonzales and husband Merejildo; two brothers, Cilo and Salbino Sanchez; three sisters, Dolores Wallis, CeCe Jebousek and Ester Marie Roberts; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Abedon Sanchez, Lawrence Sanchez, Daniel Spurlin; great-grand- sons, Andrew Maldonado, Lathanial Maldonado, Jonathan Maldonado; and nephews, William Stroud, Patrick Travis and Mike Harpster.
Visitation will be Monday, January 4, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at FRENCH â€" University with a Christian service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
