Yes, we are thinking of Dale this day and sending up a big Valentine in his memory. His kind of man is unforgettable and will be in our hearts and minds as long as memory survives.

I met Dale several times at clergy gatherings and retreats and remember playing table tennis with him at one event. He was very approachable, a friendly guy, never seeming stuck on himself.

I had the privilege of coming to know Dale when we served on the Executive Board of the UUMA in 1983-1984. Dale had a brilliant mind, but an even bigger heart. His style and grace, his ready sense of humor, his dedication to his family and his ministry, all these qualities make him a memorable figure in my life and no doubt a beloved one for those who orbited his star at a closer distance. I grieve his loss to the human family and the Arnink family in particular. With all good wishes for a measure of peace in your time of grief.

The passing of my longtime friend and colleague, the Rev. Dale Arnink, greatly saddens me...He left us the day before my own birthday this year, and left a bittersweet day-after in my heart and memory. I'll never forget him.

Dale was a dear friend, a trusted colleague, an intellectual minister, a thoughtful church leader and builder, a philosophy professor, a devoted caregiver to his late wife, Eva, a loving parent, a cat´s (Jax) constant companion, an avid reader, hiker, and skier, an athlete. Dale was quiet, a good listener, but he was also passionate, always searching for truth; he was caring and gracious, always honest, a humanist. I enjoyed our hours discussing the ministry and life, our hiking, and our years of friendship. I will miss him profoundly. May he rest in peace with Eva on top of Mount Pajarito.
