Dev, You were so special to so many of us, From middle school to high school you played one of the biggest roles in my story. You were a best friend, a sweat heart, a protector, you were family to Hailey Chloe and I. I believed we were all inseparable. And nothing will ever change that. You were the goofiest, happiest person who loved to joke around, but you also had a side to you that was sweet, gentle, and thoughtful. I found a jar I kept. In it there was the corsage you picked out for prom, a bracelet you made and a fortune cookie with a note spelling out "prom?". We were in your gold truck talking when you gave it to me, Devlin had made this fortune cookie by hand and stuck the note in it and rewrapped it in a Panda Express wrapper. It looked incredible but tasted awful and was a little gooey, I loved every bit of it. It makes my heart proud to see that so many people love and cherished you just the same as you did for all of us. You had a way of making your friends feel loved, special, and cared for in your presence. I only hope that we all did the same for you. You deserved the best and more. You really helped a lot of people break out of their shells, because you were so excepting and encouraging of every person you met. You were never the type to take a single moment for granted. You were there, completely, genuinely, fully yourself.
I have the bracelet you made me in high school in one of your classes. You found and stopped me in the hallway, told me it was special and you wanted me to have it. You were nervous, it was cute. It was the first time I felt special. I wore it every day until it broke and I wore it once more at your funeral, Dev. You were thoughtful, understanding, and nothing but kind and a good person to me. I thank you for that. Things got difficult life changed but you are with your pops again and I know how much that´s means to you. Devlin rubi, you left an impact that will never be forgotten, you deserved more from this world. But it warms my heart to see the impact you already left on so many people.
