I appreciate your sharing the mass at the cathedral in Denver, thank you. It gave me great comfort as I am sure it did for Officer Talley and his family. I very much appreciate the risk and sacrifice that police officers make to protect the public - such a difficult job, and I am glad that Officer Talley was able to find strength in his spiritual beliefs and the church, (and his loving family) in order to endure those challenges. He gave his life for his community. I lived in Boulder for 13 years and frequented the Table Mesa shopping center, so this tragedy touches me even now that I live in Oregon. So know that your sharing of this church ritual extended comfort beyond the immediate community of Boulder. A very gracious act of kindness from the Talley family. I am so sorry for your loss of your beloved.

We are praying for your family in this difficult time as well as the law enforcement officers in Colorado and across our great country who are impacted by the terrible loss of one of their own. We are honored by the diligent service Officer Talley provided to his community. May he rest in peace. May God bless and comfort his family, and help them to fix their eyes on Jesus and feel His comfort. My wife and I are part of a law enforcement family with my Dad and brother being former Denver Police and our son now working as a law enforcement officer in Washington, D.C. We both lived in Denver for many years and still have a portion or our hearts tied to the Rocky Mountains, including regular attendance at Flatirons Community Church virtual services.

May loving memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My sincerest condolences. (Psalms 116:15)
