Isaac Joseph Shelby



Isaac Joseph Shelby, 16, died Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Isaac was a sophomore at Albuquerque Academy where he played varsity soccer and wrestled. He also played guitar and liked to hunt, fish, scuba dive and wakeboard, but he was the happiest playing soccer. He played for several club teams in Albuquerque since he was 6. A great deal of joy that Isaac experienced in his life was due to his involvement with his family, friends, teammates, fellow students, coaches and teachers. Isaac is survived by his parents Luke Shelby and Yvette Paroz and grandmother, JoAnn Paroz. He is also survived by his brother Luke (Lori) and sisters Crystal (Vernon), Katie (Bruce) and Vivian (Daniel), his nieces and nephews Lori, Kiley, Alli, Bri, Sarah, Melba, Kristie, Lane and Bodie, his aunt Ellen Shelby, uncles Andrew Paroz (Maria), Larry Paroz (Natala), and cousins Rachel, Chance, Ava, Liam and Caden. A rosary will be recited at Riverside Funeral home chapel on Thursday, September 23 from 5-7 pm and funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Friday, September 24 at 11 am. Interment will be the same day at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 1 p.m.
