Jose Parra Obituary
Jose E. Parra, age 84, resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2017 with his family by his side. Mr. Parra was born in 1933 in Porter's Landing, Jemez Mountains, a New Mexico Logging town. Mr. Parra is survived by his beloved wife, of 65 years, Estella; children, Albert D. Parra, Anna M. Villegas, Cathy Chaney and husband, Dan; grandchildren, Agustin J. Villegas III and wife, Allison, Iliana R. Parra, Isaiah N. Parra and wife, Rose, Israel E. Parra and wife, Lucia, Anthony R. Villegas and Kristin, Isachar F. Parra and wife, Janessa, Alisa N. Villegas and Michael, Katelyn Chaney; great-grandchildren, Cosme, Azure, Anthony Jr., Elijah, Adrian, Aurora, Elias; brother, Benardino Parra and wife, Lori; sisters, Sister Juanita M. Parra OFM, Carmen Parra, Sylvia Parra; many nieces, nephews, godchildren, family and friends. Mr. Parra was preceded in death by his parents, Nicolas and Celsa Parra; brothers, Salvador Parra, Hilario Parra, Ysabel Parra, and Merced Parra.
A visitation will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 N. Plaza NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.; a final visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 N. Plaza NW, with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow services at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be, Agustin J. Villegas III, Isaiah N. Parra, Israel E. Parra, Anthony R. Villegas, Isachar F. Parra, and Alisa N. Villegas.
