Sammy Chilimidos Obituary
Sammy Chilimidos Jr., age 86, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016.
Sammy is survived by his wife, Margaret Chilimidos; son, Gerald Chilimidos and wife, Janet; daughters, Carol Chavez and husband, Steve, Beverly Hubbs and husband, John, and Vickie Sais and husband, Richard; four sisters; two brothers; his best friends, Pete and Carolyn Tenorio; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; many other extended family members.
Sammy was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 2150 Raymac Rd SW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by the Legion of Mary. Final visitation will be Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10 :00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Father Edmund Savilla, presider. A Committal Service will is scheduled at the Santa Fe National Cemetery Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:15 a.m. Urnbearers will be his grandson, Jared Chilimidos, son in law, Richard Saiz, step-son, John Jaramillo, and step-son, Matthew Jaramillo.
