Thomas Denton Obituary
On Friday, May 12, 2023, Thomas Roy Denton, loving husband and father of two children passed away at age 74.
Tom was born on May 22, 1948 in Monte Vista, CO to Joseph and Irma Denton. He had an older sister and brother, Judy and Joseph. The family moved to Albuquerque, NM during the 1950s. On October 18, 1968 he married his high school sweetheart Linda Bates Denton, and they had been married for 54 years.
Tom was a mechanic and retired after 27 years from Yellow Freight Systems. He then worked for the City of Albuquerque as a bus driver and retired after 15 years. He was a former member of the Route 66 Rodders car club. Tom loved working with wood and building things. He also enjoyed the outdoors and camping.
Tom is survived by his wife Linda, his son Richard Denton and wife Margaret, and daughter
Deborah Denton. Tom was known as "Papa" to his grandchildren Brittany
Coulson, Kaitlyn, Thomas, Gavin, Emily and Kaylee Denton.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 10:00 am at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd NE. Burial will follow at La Puerta Cemetery in Belen, NM.

Your dad will be missed. Your whole family are in my prayers and my heart. He was an avid awesome Steeler fan and now he is amongst some of the greatest Steelers in heaven. He will be watching over his family and keeping up with his beloved Steelers. Love to all
