Thomas Marc Kerley

Thomas Marc Kerley was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Dona Ana County on September 19, 1943, to Sidney Auston Kerley and Melba Fern Compton Kerley. Tom's siblings are Michael Auston Kerley, Mary Ann Kerley Toperzer, Lucinda Jo Kerley, and Patrick Kevin Kerley.

Tom's family moved from Las Cruces, New Mexico to Texas when he was about 2 ½ years old. He graduated from Stephen F. Auston High School in Bryan, Texas in 1961 and joined the Navy. He served for four years. He then enrolled at Texas A and M College. He graduated from the Texas A and M Engineering Extension Service in 1970 and was recruited by Sandia National Laboratories. He worked for Sandia National Laboratories for 37 years in different areas with many multifaceted careers. He was designated a Distinguished Technician of Sandia Laboratories.

Tom married Vicki Marie Laughlin on September 6, 1969. They had four children: Christina Lyn Kerley, Seth Auston Kerley, Joshua Allan Kerley, and Katharine Michelle Kerley. He was a member of our "Sharing Group" at Asbury United Methodist Church for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; children, Christina Lyn Perry (Ken, Jr.), Seth Auston Kerley (Annie), Joshua Allan Kerley (Laurie), and Katharine Kerley Garcia (Nick): and 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings and many, many friends.
