Eric Sean Thibodeaux

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 immediately following a 3:30 p.m. rosary in Melancon Funeral Home in Opelousas for Eric Thibodeaux, age 45, who passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. Deacon Dwayne Joubert, of St. Landry Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Eric was a native of Opelousas and a resident of Winnfield. He worked as a contract electrician in the Baton Rouge area. Survivors include his father, Robert Leeland Thibodeaux of Opelousas; one brother, Shane Thibodeaux and his wife, Heather, of Geismer; his nieces, Aubrey Thibodeaux and Amy Thibodeaux; his nephew, Shane Thibodeaux, Jr.; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, the former Barbara Ann Stelly. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until service time.
