She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren. A native of St. Martinville, she was the fourth child in a family of eight children. She was the last remaining survivor of her siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alberie Barras, Jr. "TB", son, Albert Barras; her parents, Gabriel Latiolais Sr. and Josephine Boudreaux Latiolais; four brothers, Murphy, Louis, John and Gabriel Latiolais, Jr.; three sisters, Lou Anna Latiolais Potier, Agatha Latiolais Frederick and Rosa Mae Latiolais Guidry, and son-in-law, Jack E. She remained active in retirement through the senior programs in New Iberia and Lafayette. She was a member of both the Lafayette and the New Iberia Garden Clubs. She was president of the Senior Friends Program from 1996 to 2001. She was also instrumental in the organization of the Boudreaux Family Organization for the Congre Mondial Acadian in 1999. She traveled extensively after retirement and was grateful that she was able to "travel the world" until her health declined. I am very sorry for your loss. I worked for your mother in 1984 when she had the Singer store in the Mall. She was a great boss and an even greater lady. I learned so much from her. She will be missed.
