Charlotte Doyle Obituary

Beloved mother and friend Charlotte "Char" Doyle, 59, passed away on April 23, 2018, at her Anchorage, Alaska, home with her daughter and niece by her side. Char endured a three-year battle with cancer and fought it until the end.
Char was born on April 3, 1959, in San Francisco, Calif., to Roberta and Donald Doyle. She grew up in Woodland, Calif., and lived in several different places across the United States. Char made the move to Alaska, in 1987, with the love of her life, Reuben Eaton III. They married on Feb. 14, 1988, in Hawaii. They had one daughter named Jayde in 1996, who was their entire world.
In California, Char made many friends working as a waitress at Aladero's Panthose Junction in Dunnigan. In Alaska, she worked at Nordstrom for several years and then at AT&T for over 25 years.
Char loved to be the life of the party and made countless friends over the years. In life, she had many passions including her miniature Doberman pinscher named Tinkerbelle, whom she loved dearly. Char enjoyed sharing her cooking, shopping for herself and others, and growing flowers in the summer. Char also loved eating at restaurants and became a frequent customer at many, including her favorite restaurant, Club Paris in downtown Anchorage.
Char was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; their beloved Rottweiler, Kiska; and her parents, Roberta Wanshop and Donald Doyle. In Alaska she is survived by her daughter, Jayde Eaton; family members, Cynthia Davis and Ken Farmer; her "niece," Lisa Davis; and Lisa's daughter, Abbi Davis. Char is also survived by many family and friends around the United States.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Legacy Heritage Chapel, 440 East Klatt Road in Anchorage, at 3 p.m. Flowers are very welcome, as Char loved them in life.

Our beloved has gone down to her garden . . . (Song of Solomon). So many of my memories are diamonds and pearls of her vitality. I valued most her ability to tell the truth, the WHOLE truth, without destroying another's spirit and to carry on with joy and a certain flair. My heart to your heart.

I have known Char since I was a young child. She was always outgoing, fun and a free spirit who inspired me to tap into that fun loving spirit inside myself. Her vibrant personality was infectious!
I was blessed to have had the chance to babysit the cutest little curly haired girl for her and Reuben once I was old enough when they went out on their dates. I clearly remember Reuben sharing with me about how many times Char had busted their speakers in their home from playing Metallica too loud- He loved her and he laughed it of and said I just keep replacing those speakers! It was so sweet how he loved and treated her and I remember thinking I wanted what they shared when I grow up. Jayde, I'm sure you don't remember me, but I will always remember you and your loving family who touched me with their love and exhilaration for life and especially music. I send my prayers and deepest condolences for your loss. May a god bless you. You now have a Goddess of an Angel watching over you. ❤

Growing up as a child when I was three or four years of age I met my first Best Friend. She lived in the city and I lived in the same old house Im in today.
Her mothers brother married my mothers sister. Aunt Rosy and Uncle George. Every summer she would come to the country to visit her grandmother and Aunt Rosy and Uncle George. And we would play. When we were in the third grade Uncle George built a house on his parents property, grandma Wanshops. Their property was all almonds and grandma Wanshops house was like a little cottage and down the driveway a bit was a big almond huller. I remember Aunt Rosy baby sitting me, during almond season, and I had to sit at one of the belts and I watched all the hulls and/or almonds travel down the belts. I was allergic to the almond fuzz and I had asthma and I couldnt breathe. Anyway when we were in the third grade my friend, Charlotte, moved from the city to their new home in grandma Wanshops almond orchard. Aunt Rosy and Uncle Georges house was in between my house and Charlottes house. When she came to Esparto we were inseparable. Every day we would play together. From the third grade all the way thru the eighth grade. In high school we kind of drifted apart but were still very good friends. When we were in the third grade we made a pak that we would be friends forever. And we cut our thumbs and pressed them together and became blood sisters. After high school I didnt much see her unless she came to visit Aunt Rosy then I would come over and visit.
She lived a different life style than I. Later she moved to Alaska she and her husband, Rueben, and they had a daughter, Jayde, a couple years younger than my son, Flent. Ill never forget the wonderful years we had together. Jayde cherish your memories, always. They are yours to keep forever

My deepest sympathies to Jayde. Your beautiful mama left this world much too soon. It is so hard for you left behind to grieve and miss getting mama hugs. Take comfort that she is dancing with Jesus and will be watching over you AND you will see her again!! Stay close to her in your relationship with Jesus. Take comfort from Him and those around you who love your mama as much as you do. Many blessings, sweet one.

My mind keeps jumping from one memory to another as I try to put my thoughts into words. Jayde, you'll always miss her. Our good friend Mischelle told me that my mom lives on through me. That was very comforting. I hope it will comfort you too.

I'm so glad Char got to travel and enjoy life while she was young and was lucky enough to find the love of her life. And to be blessed with a daughter.

Tob, I hope you and Rueben are hanging out on a beach somewhere in heaven with your mom and dad laughing and happy.

Farewell.
