Sandra Fox

1950 - 2015

Sandra (Kozaryn) Fox, 64, of Ogdensburg, NY, a winter resident of Estero, FL, and formerly of Windsor, died peacefully on March 14, 2015 at her home following a valiant year-long fight with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Lodge, 130 Deerfield Road in Windsor, CT on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 am. Surviving are her loving husband, Richard; three loving sons, Todd Blatchley and Timothy (Marie) Blatchley, both of Plattsburgh, NY, Thomas (Aubrey) Blatchley of West Hartford ; five grandchildren, Amelia and Vivienne Blatchley of Plattsburgh, Mason, Madison and Bryce Blatchley (twins) of West Hartford; her mother, Hildegard Kozaryn of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs. William (Rosemarie) Miskavitch, Poquonock, Mrs. Gary (Heidi) Kraushaar, Windsor; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. David (Marilyn) Lange, Alexander, NY, Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth Ann) Kelly, Heuvelton, NY, and Mrs. Larry (Carol) Trombly, Lake Charles, LA; an aunt Louise Siebler, Augsburg, Germany, an uncle, Edward Davis of Enfield; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who all loved her dearly. She was predeceased in 1995 by her father, Eugene "Tommy" Kozaryn of Windsor. Sandy was born on October 29, 1950, daughter of Eugene T. and Hildegard (Berger) Kozaryn in Hartford. She graduated from Windsor High School in 1969 and attended Strayer College in Alexandria, VA.. She graduated second in her class (High Honors and Phi Beta Kappa) from SUNY Canton College in 1987, earning an AAS degree in Mortuary Science, and thereafter was offered a scholarship to Clarkson University for her academic excellence. A newly licensed New York Funeral Director, she became employed at the Fox Funeral Homes, Ogdensburg, Heuvelton, Lisbon, and Hammond, NY. This is where Sandy met Richard Fox and several years later the couple were married on August 18, 1992. Sandy's greatest love and joy were her sons, Todd, Tim and Tom, her current and long-awaited grandchildren, her mother, Hildegard, her sisters, Rosi and Heidi, and her devoted husband, Richard. Sandy's infectious smile is the perfect reflection of the kind, open-hearted woman that she embodied. She could light up a room with her always present smile and bubbly energy. She affectionately warmed the hearts of many through her charm and gregarious nature. Sandy's zest for life and her caring, giving nature will live on in the many friends and family who carry on her lasting legacy. She will be forever missed and loved.
