Today 2/23/21 has been a year. I’m consoled knowing she no longer suffers. I miss her more than anyone can know. Although growing up I didn’t always do things exactly how she might have thought I should, she alway supported me in my decisions. My mom was the kindest person I know. She never said a bad thing about anyone. That doesn’t mean she didn’t put her foot down when it was needed. She made a beautiful name for herself. She had many friends and helped so many along the way. If she was sad it wasn’t for very long. She loved her family, flowers, playing board games, scrabble, cards, anything outdoors, music, really; life itself. She loved talking to people about the promises Jehovah has given of life everlasting if we follow his sons footsteps. She would not want us to be sad but to celebrate her life with beautiful memories and hopes and carrying on her and my dad’s legacy. I miss our laughing together. I miss my mom. She was happy! Love you mamita! I know it will not be long till we’re all together again.....your daughter, Claire Melinda Chestnutt Martinez

Loved my auntie. So sweet, always an encouraging word for everyone. One of the things she used to say when someone was ranting, or out of control, was "Imagine!" Sort of a tsk, tsk, to calm the situation. She loved my mom, her sister dearly, and mom loved her too. What a hard thing when you are not able to even attend your siblings funeral. We send our love and sympathy to all her family, our cousins, Melinda and Patches. Love you all.
