Steven Otero Obituary

Steven M. Otero, 55, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010, in Las Cruces.
He was born March 26, 1954, in Carrizozo to Patricio and Maria Dolores (Montano) Otero. He was a firefighter for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Patricio Otero.
He is survived by his mother, Dolores Otero, of Tularosa; sons Tennyson Evans and Eugene Evans; daughters Vellene Evans, Jessica Otero and Jennifer Avalos; grandchildren D'Andre, Bryan, Tannis, Evanne, Tennyson Jr., Jacob, Kendrick, Kaydence, Lenaya, Levi, Noah, Joseph, Adraanna, Marcelia, Gia'Vana, Adell and Aaliya; sisters Rosario Aragon, Cecilia Lucero and husband, Stella Brusuelas and husband, Edward Sr., and Margie Pienado; brother Pat Otero Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church with Father Max Hottle, O.F.M., as celebrant.
Inurnment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The Otero family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services. Cremation has taken place at PCS.

To The Entire Otero Family,
I am so Sorry to hear about the Loss of Steven or (Wango) as I knew him. He was a Fellow Classmate of mine up until 9Th Grade When my Family moved away from Tularosa in 1969. I alway's Liked him and thought he was a very Nice,but Funny Guy. Please know my thoughts and Prayer's are with the Entire Family as you go through this Very trying time in your Lives. Mrs. Delores Otero and family, we are so sorry to hear of Steven and know how much you will miss him, just know that he is not suffering anymore and you do not need to worry about him anymore, he is in a better place now free of pain.
