Aurora C. Martinez Alice, Texas - Aurora C. Martinez, 85, passed away February 28, 2023, in Alice, Texas. She was born November 8, 1937, in Alice to Gilbert and Eva Chapa. Aurora enjoyed gambling, and spending time with her friends, family and sisters. She will be remembered for her devotion and unconditional love for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Eva Chapa; husband, Armando Manuel Martinez; and step-son, Armando Martinez Jr. Aurora is survived by her son, James Martinez (Stephanie) of Alice; sisters, Bertha Trevino (Pete) of Alice and Elida Saenz of La Porte; three grandchildren, James Martinez Jr., Jaimee Lynn Martinez, and Devin Martinez; step-grandchildren, Brandon Lopez and Jason Lopez; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation was held Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a holy rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening. Services concluded after the rosary.
