He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Jose Hinojosa and Maria Luera; wife, Anita Hinojosa; daughter, Olga H. Chapa; sons, Roel Hinojosa and Rene Hinojosa; and siblings, Pedro Garcia of Alice; Fela Hernandez of San Antonio; Manuela Garza of Alice; Margarito Rodriguez of Alice; Angel Hinojosa of Alice; Leonel Hinojosa of Alice; Gonzalo Garcia of Alice and Maurito Garcia of Alice.
He is survived by two sons, Ruben Gonzalez of Ben Bolt and Joe Hinojosa (Cindy) of Alice; one sister, Francis Delgado of Alice; one brother, Leonel Luera of Alice; daughter in law, Odilia Hinojosa; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home with a talk at 7 p.m. that evening. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. at New Collins Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Miguel Chapa, Miguel Chapa Jr., Adrian Chapa, Mario Hinojosa, Luis Gonzalez, Luis Gonzalez Jr. and Ashley "Happy" Gonzalez.

My deepest condolence to the Hinojosa family on the passing of Mr. Jose Hinojosa. It was an honor to have gotten to know him and his daughter in law while I would visit with him under Hospice care from Healthy Horizon's Home Care and Hospice.
