Lorenzo Davila Obituary
Alice - Lorenzo L. Davila Sr. 81 years of age entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 6, 2021 in a Corpus Christi hospital. Lorenzo was born on September 14, 1939 in Banquete, Texas to Lorenzo and Petra Lerma Davila. Lorenzo was owner and operator of Davila and Sons Oilfield Trucking Services of Alice, Texas until his retirement. Lorenzo was a devout catholic and was strong in faith and was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church community.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Francisca Davila; one daughter, Martha Davila and two sons, Rolando and Lonnie Davila; his parents, Lorenzo and Petra Davila; three brothers David, Roberto, and Adolfo; three sisters, Elida D. Gonzalez, Eva Falcon, and Frances D. Villarreal.
Survivors include two sons, Rey "Batman" Davila of San Angelo, Texas and Rene Davila of Alice, Texas and one daughter Otilia "OT" Davila of Alice, Texas; one daughter in law, Monica Davila of Mission, Texas; one sister, Audelia D. (Pete) Garcia of Alice, Texas. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren: Jennifer Rae Garrett, Christina Guerrero, Krystal Davila, Jonathan Ray Davila, Billy Rae Davila, Louie Davila, Alina Salinas, Rolando Davila, Angel M. Davila, R.J. Davila Brooke Ann Reyna, Lorenzo "Lonnie" Davila Jr., Daniella Davila, Gabriella Davila, Isabella Davila and 17 great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. at Rosas Funeral Home with a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the New Collins Cemetery.
