David Steele Obituary

Graveside services for David Ronald Steele, 68, will be today at 2 p.m. at Piedmont Memory Gardens with the Rev. Garry Brown officiating and Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Steele died Friday at his home. He is survived by a special friend, Joan Black, of Hokes Bluff; several cousins and a host of friends. Ronnie was of the Christian faith and was a member of Marietta Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from General Motors with 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his mother, Decota Steele Jones; his grandparents; Leon and Lucy Steele and several uncles. In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions may be made to the Piedmont Rescue Squad or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be sent to www.thompsonfuneralhomepiedmont.com

Prayers are with Ronnie's family. I am a peace that Ronnie is with God in a new body because I was with him when he gave his life to Chrst and was baptized in Marietta, Ga.
