Hoyt Edward Cochran Sr. Obituary

Jacksonville - Funeral service for Hoyt Edward Cochran Sr., 80, will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. Jason Williams and Kenneth Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in the Community Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery. Mr. Cochran died on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Noland Hospital in Anniston. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Iladean Kimberly Cochran; three daughters, Mary (Terry) Hope, Melinda Cochran and Martha (Richard) Craig-Shew; two sons, Danny Cochran and Frankie (Donna) Cochran; three sisters, Myrtle Lane, Ona Goodwin and Emily Sharpton; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two daughters-in-law, Trannie Cochran and Sharon Cochran. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Cochran, Beno Hughes, Mike Howell, Lee Lane, Ed Henderson, Orville Johnson and Jerry Baggett. Mr. Cochran was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War era. He was a loving husband, Dad and Paw-Paw and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
