Joyce Beshears King

A private funeral service for Mrs. Joyce Beshears King, 90 of Anniston, will be at Weaver Congregational Methodist Church with Pastor Keith Merritt. She will be laid to rest at Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. King passed away on August 22, 2021.
She is survived by her children, Melanie Beshears (Turley), Rebecca Beshears Woodall (Ricky), Randy Beshears (Leigh Ann); grandchildren, Benji Turley, Casey Woodall Britt, Josh Beshears, Jessi Beshears Duval; great grandchildren, Nyles Britt, Nolan Britt, Erin Turley, Bronx Duval, Tessa Duval, Leighton Duval, Gwyneth Beshears; brothers, Raymond Gibson, Jimmy Gibson; her North Carolina family, Sam King Jr., Missy Millsaps, Molly King, Ann Bullard and their families, and a host of extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, I.L. Beshears Jr., and Sam King Sr.; father, Sam Gibson Sr.; mother, Ollie Mae Thompson; sister, Gloria Uptain; brother, Sam C. Gibson II, and her great granddaughter, Avery Lee Turley.
Pallbearers will be Benji Turley, Josh Beshears, Scott Britt, Nolan Britt, Scott Duval, and Billy Bullard.
Mrs. King graduated from Alexandria High School and weeks later had a job working at Courts and Co., the local New York Stock Exchange office. She worked there for 11 years. In 1952, she married I.L. Beshears and had three children. Mr. Beshears passed in 1990 and in 1994 she married Sam King Sr. He passed away in 2011 and she moved back to Alabama. Mrs. King was a faithful Christian woman and was a founding member of Weaver Congregational Methodist Church. Mrs. King was a Godly wife and mother and made sure her children were introduced to the Lord. She loved her church family.
Mrs. King touched many lives and adored her family. She will be greatly missed by those that loved her the most.
