Melanie Warren Lusk Obituary

Funeral service for Melanie Warren Lusk, 51, will be Monday, May 5, 2014, at 2 p.m., at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Randy Evers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Piedmont Memory Gardens. Ms. Lusk died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at her residence. She is survived by her sister, Jana Shealy; her former husband, Bob Lusk; a stepdaughter, Danni Lusk (Nick) Surre; a niece, Brooke (Bryan) Suggs and a nephew, Blake (Judy) Shealy. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Ms. Lusk was a retired Anniston Police Officer. After retirement, she served as a WMD Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security. I also worked with Melanie at the CDP from 2006 until she left. I am so saddened to hear of her death. She was an amazing instructor, and an even better person. She will be missed.
