JONATHAN LOWDER
WADESBORO — Jonathan David Lowder, 54, of Wadesboro, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at Atrium Health in Monroe.
A celebration of life was held at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Christ Episcopal Church Albemarle. Mr. Chipper Long, Lay Pastor, officiated and the family received friends after the service in the Parish Hall.
Mr. Lowder was born on November 19,1968 in Stanly County to Jerry Wayne Lowder and Janet Harwood Preslar. He worked for 18 years with Terminix and was a member at Main Street Methodist Church in Albemarle. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his son and his special nephews. Jonathan was sick for many years but never complained about his sickness and never questioned 'why.' To know Jonathan was to love Jonathan. He was special to his family and will forever live in their hearts.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Jake Lowder 'CJ'; CJ's mother, Misty Mullis Hogan; his mother and father: Janet Preslar (Ellwood) and Jerry Lowder (Virginia); brother: Stewart Lowder (LaWanda); step-brother: Darren Preslar (Melissa); special nephews: Wyatt, Declan, and Miles Preslar; special nieces: Layla, Bre, and Bristol Lowder; special friends: Colleen London and Dale Pylant; special canine companion, Ruckus; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
