Barbara Springer Obituary
Barbara Ann Springer, 84, of Little Silver, NJ passed peacefully on February 13th, 2021.
She was born in Metuchen, NJ to the late Herbert VanSaun Springer and Rose Winter.
Barbara graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University, where she earned the degree of Bachelor of Arts. Barbara would go on to become a compliance officer for Bank of America in Jersey City where her attention to detail was paramount. In retirement, she enjoyed playing golf and relished her role as piano teacher to many young students over the years. Barbara was an associate with the Sisters of Mercy in Bradley Beach, NJ. She was also a choir member at the Church of St. Anselm in Wayside, NJ. Barbara led a life of compassion and contributed to various charitable institutions throughout her life.
Barbara is predeceased by her siblings. She is survived by her adopted sister, Jean Junker of New York City and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews as well as her caring neighbors of 28 years.

For the past ten years, Barbara has been a valued member of our "Something New" group, meeting monthly after reading material of an adult progressive spiritual nature to share our thoughts and feelings on content. She was a fellow seeker and greatly enhanced our individual and communal spiritual journey. Her insights and intelligence expressed with humility will be absent from us now, but will live on in our memories. Our loss is Barbara's gain as she now gets to experience the great mystery awaiting us all. Such a kind and gentle soul - she will be sorely missed.
