Winchester - Becky Vail of Winchester MA died July 17, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Robert and their two sons Griffin and Colby ages 10 and 8. In addition, she is survived by Robert's mother Doris Vail and Robert's brother Richard and his wife Susan Vail of New Hampshire. She was born September 11, 1969 in Point Pleasant, NJ to David and Clara Johnson, now of Wilmington MA. She is also survived by her brother David Johnson, Jr. of Arcata CA. She leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New Jersey. She graduated Point Pleasant Beach High School in 1987 as valedictorian of her class of which she was president for four years and was elected Student Council Vice-President her senior year. In 1991 she graduated Princeton University with an AB majoring in Economics and a certificate in East Asian Studies-Japan. After graduation she worked in New York as an assistant credit analyst before going to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she achieved a dual major in Finance and Multinational Management. Becky was a founding Partner and Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Millstreet Capital Management, LLC, Boston since 2010. She left that position a few months ago. She was an active member of the Education Committee of the Boston Chapter of 100 Women in Hedge Funds. Visiting hours will be held at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. (Rte. 38) WINCHESTER on Friday July 20th from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the Winchester Town Hall, 71 Mt. Vernon St., Winchester on Saturday July 21st at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Wildwood Cemetery.
