AGE: 73 • Middletown

Carl F Baumann, 73, of Middletown, died on March 16, 2013, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. He was born in College Point, NY and lived in Middletown for over 50 years. He was a graduate of St Francis College in Loretto, Pa. Carl worked as a Accountant for 30 years, retiring from Bell Labs/ Telcordia in 1995. After his retirement, he continued to work as an office manager for Ground Control, his son Bill's lawn and landscaping business. Carl proudly served his country in the Army. He was a faithful communicant of St. Mary's Church in New Monmouth and loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Elizabeth; his son, William Baumann and his companion Shari Oppenheim; sister, Lois Wanzor; and brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Candy Baumann.

Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Baumann.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, from 2 to 4 pm & 7 to 9 pm at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at 8:15 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9:15 am at St Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., New Monmouth. Cremation will be private.
