ELEANOR MITCHELL
AGE: 70 NEPTUNE
Eleanor Mitchell, 70, of Neptune, passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born Sept. 5, 1939 in Neptune to the late Arthur Sr. and Warnedith Morris. Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Monmouth County. She married Willie Mitchell in 1968, and they remained married for 41 years. She was employed as a nurse for Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital for 24 years before retiring in 1998. She was a member of God's Holiness & Righteousness Church, Point Pleasant. There she served as Mother of the Church and member of the Deaconess board.
She was predeceased by her parents; and two sisters, Constantine Martin and Shirley Morris. She is survived by her husband, Willie Mitchell of Neptune; two sons, Arthur (Dorothy) Mitchell of Folkston, Ga., and Erik (Itzel) Mitchell of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; two daughters, Tiffany (Lester) Roberts, Nikki (Rodney) Young, all of Neptune; two brothers, Arthur Jr. (Dorothy) and Caleb (Shyrleen) Morris of Asbury Park; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20 at the James H. Hunt Funeral Home, 126 Ridge Ave., Asbury Park. Cremation has been arranged at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. Letters of condolence for the family may be emailed to the funeral home ([email protected]).

I can't put into words how sorry I am for your loss. My heart is so heavy right now. She was a second mother to me growing up in Stephen Manor. Nikki, Tiff, Eric and Mr. Mitchell healing and light to your spirit with God's unchanging love. She is definitely going to be missed and she will always have a place in my heart.
