We were so sad to learn Dr. Brennan passed away. During those office visits, Dr. Brennan always spent time talking to my children the importance of education. He was happy to hear they did well in school. My boys had special bond with Dr. Brennan. Today, one is an attorney,, another is a CPA, the third is on the way to be an engineer. They will never forget what Dr. Brennan told them when they were little kids. He is always in our thoighta and prayer.

My daughter and I were just talking about Dr. Brennan and when looking him up I saw his obituary. What a kind, gentle, caring doctor he was. My kids were never afraid to see him - he always seemed to say the right thing. Once, when the building was being redone, there was a gas smell. Someone knocked on the exam room door (when he was examining my son) and told us to leave the building. Dr. Brennan grabbed my son and I grabbed his stuff and he finished his examination on top of someone's car. He said, "they are going to try to charge you for this, tell them I said it's a free exam". He was a wonderful doctor and my kids saw him until they were 21. He listened and was interested in his patients. I hope he knew how much he was respected and loved. Thank you Doctor Brennan for taking such good care of my kids (and me as a concerned mom)!

I thought about Dr. Brennan today and I was looking him up on google when I found his obituary. I know it is almost a year since his passing but I will never forget him. Dr. Brennan was the most knowledgable, kind, caring and compassionate man I ever met. I never minded waiting sometimes for up to an hour after my scheduled appointment because he always took the time each patient needed with him. He never rushed you, explained conditions fully and made you feel that your child was in great hands. When I told my son of his passing he said, "I loved that guy!" I think that sums it all up. Dr. Brennan was definitely one of God's earthly saints. He was truly a special man.

In memory of a great doctor who has been part of so many lives. He delivered me and comforted my scared parents during a scary time. I am approaching 44 years old with two girls and was blessed with my son this week. Each birth of my kids I looked up Dr. Brennan just in case something happened during pregnancy since I live in North Carolina I wanted to be prepared. I was saddened to hear of his passing. This world was blessed having this man for 84 years. Rest In peace and thank you.

I have great memories of George, who was a dedicated and brilliant Pediatrician. He was greatly respected by the Pediatric community of Greater New Brunswick and their two major Hospitals. He was considered by many. The Dean of the Pediatric community, a well deserved opinion. Rest in peace, George. Edward L Blackman, MD.

The The Brennan Family,
With great sadness I express my deepest sympathy on the loss of you husband, father and grandfather. When I heard I was in shock, I had just spoken to him concerning my children. You see he was my go to doctor/friend for my kids, my husband and myself. What he has done for our family goes beyond just being a doctor he was an inspiration to us in so many ways.
I came to NJ after just losing a son to cardiac disease, it was crippling due to being misdiagnosed, so my trust in doctors was Zero. I became pregnant with my second son and with much research found Dr. Brennan. When I went to the Pediatric Cardiologist, Dr. Mandulay they raved about Dr. Brennan and expressed what good hands my child would be in. They were right. I was a nervous mom and Dr. Brennan knew it, he recommended I have another child and I laughed, I knew he was right. My third child was also a cardiac baby and this little lady needed open heart surgery to which Dr. Brennan went to watch, bow tie and all.. From that day forward I knew that I could trust again, he went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of her care was addressed. Dr. Brennan took care of all his babies and kids as if they were his own. He made every visit a personal one with his stories that you can learn from. I knew my visit may be a bit longer but it was worth the wait and worth the visit, because the knowledge we gained was a gift! When I told my children that Dr. Brennan died/went to heaven, the tears confirmed their love for him. I know that heaven has a golden angel and he will be terribly missed. I know that my children, my husband and I are better people for having had the honor of knowing him. You are our angel, Dr. Brennan and we have been blessed. Rip Dr. Brennan we love and adore you..and thank you...

He was everything a doctor should be. As a new mom back in 2005, I remember Dr. Brennan as a beacon on a Saturday morning, tending to our children and easing our new-parent jitters. The world has lost a bit of its glow with Dr. Brennan's passage into eternal rest.

Words cannot express what Dr. Brennan has meant to my family. A wonderful friend to my parents, an exceptional doctor to myself and siblings, and of course our "Saint on Earth" as a pediatrician to our children. We have shared many years as both friend and doctor and I will cherish every moment spent with him. Whether it was at our home, his home, at parties or even in his office, he was truly wonderful to spend time with. Full of knowledge and compassion. His willingness to help anybody and everyone was beyond exceptional. I, personally, would never have survived the month my father was sick without his support and guidance. My children all rate "Dr. B" as one of their "TOP 3 OF ALL TIME'" To sum it up... We loved him and will miss him terribly.
Sincerely,
Terence, Denise, Lauren, Emma and Jack Laffey

I've known my friend Gerry Brennan and his dad (George) and their great family since our days in the old neighborhood in Holmdel (~1968-1988). I have so many fond memories of Dr. Brennan and Joan and all the kids. I remember Dr. Brennan's calm approach to whatever was going on, even if it was not at all what he wanted to have going on. I remember the delivered cans of Charles Chips, the stacks of soda in the garage, and watching him get home really late from his busy office to relax and eat ice cream in his comfy chair. I remember playing tennis with wooden Davis tennis rackets at Holmdel Tennis Club. I remember talking to a solid and skilled man about the important medical things in our lives, from my sister's fatal car accident to sniffles/acne and everything in between. I remember my parents insisting that we ask George before proceeding with certain decisions, sometimes medical and sometimes otherwise. Dr. Brennan was a great guy and a great doctor. And all the positive press about him and what he meant to the people around him is true. Believe it. He will be missed.

We were so sad to hear of Dr. Brennan's passing. He was my boys pediatrician and my saint. After losing a child to meningitis I never thought I would trust another doctor. That is when I found out I was having a down syndrome child. Then thanks to the Laffey's I found Dr. Brennan. To say he was an amazing doctor by no means sums it up. He was someone I could call on no matter what time of the day or night it was and he always calmed me by telling me exactly what to do. Thank you Mrs. Brennan for being so gracious when Dr. Brennan would have us come to the house to look at Nicky. We will miss him greatly and never forget the wonderful man he was.
Love,

Our family LOVED Dr. Brennan. It is a very sad day in our home as we have lost a wonderful soul who cared for our children as much as we parents did.
To the Brennan Family- Thank you for sharing your husband and father with us. He was a wonderful intelligent, caring Doctor and more importantly a genuine man.
May he rest in peace and may God watch over his family.

Learning of Dr. Brennan's passing brought tears to my eyes, and memories of what a wonderful, caring, and kind man Dr. Brennan was come flooding back to me. Dr. Brennan cared for both of my children from birth and was always caring and compassionate. You could ask him any question without ever feeling foolish, and he would happily address any concerns with a wisdom that will never be replaced. Dr. Brennan was simply the best pediatrician and adolescent doctor to be found, and he helped my children through many phases of their young life. I will be eternally grateful for all of his help and advice as a young mother and through all of the years of raising teenagers to young adults. Both of my children are devastated, but we feel very fortunate to have had such a wonderful doctor for so many years. I know he has helped countless children and parents through many difficult times, and God will have a very special place in heaven for him. God bless his family as they go through this terrible loss. I hope that thoughts of all the good Dr. Brennan accomplished during his life brings them comfort. Dr. Brennan, rest in peace- you have made the world a better place and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

This is a very sad day indeed. I had the privilege of working for Dr. George Brennan at Old Bridge/Sayreville Medical Group for 20 years. He was also my kids pediatrician. Hands down, the best doctor I have ever met. He saved many lives that I know of first hand - and would see my children into their adulthood.
One of a kind - Dr. Brennan - the medical world has suffered a major loss in a doctor that can not be replaced. As a friend, my family is saddened you are gone. R I P Dr. B. xoxo

It is with a heavy heart and tears that I say our goodbyes to Dr. Brennan who has touched the lives of so many. Dr. Brennan cared for my two sons now 19 and 21 and was always there for them and their parents with concern, advice, support, friendliness and compassion. He can never be replaced. His smile alone could brighten a room and make patients and parents alike instantaneously feel better. May you rest in God's peace Dr. Brennan and it is my hope that your wife and family will be comforted knowing how much you were loved and how sorely you will be missed. God Bless you Dr. Brennan we will remember you always!

I don't even have to read the thoughts of others to know that many have the same story as me. Dr. Brennan was the pediatrician for me beginning in 1963 and then for my sister, my brothers and then my own daughter. As a child he made me smile and not be so scared. As a mom, he respected and acknowledged what I told him about my child. He continued to make me smile and not be so scared. Thank you Dr. Brennan, for everything. Peace to your family.

So sorry for your loss. What a good long life George enjoyed. So many cannot say the same. He was one of those the Bible call especially strong.

It's tough to lose your dad, I know when my dad past I was in limbo, till I realized everything I am is because of him and my mom, they taught me to know my inner strength, they gave me wisdom and because of those and much more, my dad is alive because I am alive.
I will pray that God will grant you the strength and the wisdom that your dad once provided to you and your family .

We have all lost one amazing Dr. Dr. Brennan never gave up hope when my daughter Jolie Neat had problems walking. He constantly spoke with other Specialists in regards to her medical issues. I still remember him staying late just to see my daughter and telling me and my husband to bring Jolie in to see him right away. He will be missed..there will never be Pediatrician like Dr. Brennan again.❤❤
