Rest in peace Mike, you will be remembered fondly by all those who were fortunate enough to know you. So many fun and happy memories of our class of 65', our class reunions, painting the bridge, the parties, prom, and all the shenanigans. You will be
missed by us all.

Marsha and I are saddened to hear this news. He was my roommate at Lafayette and we have many fond memories of those college years. I never had a truer friend. What a pleasure to be around - even tempered and never pretentious. We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayer are with him and his family

One of the Clover Lane Gang has fallen.
Mike, Bedie (Malcolm) Bedell and I were the gang from before kindergarten. I remember most vividly dramatizing Davey Crocket, each long episode, on the backyard hill. Later it was Cub Scouts with Mrs. Fox, Mrs. McCarthey's (?), ballroom dancing class, goofing around in Boy Scouts. I saw my first color TV program at his house. Mike was a comrade in arms, lineman for our championship football team, and our best Class President.
Though I've lived my life on the other end of the nation, Mike was so central to my childhood that his memory has been showing up unexpectedly throughout all these years. As in childhood, he was always looking for the fun in life but took life and others seriously. I will miss talking him at the Class Reunions but he will remain with me as he always has. One of the good guys, one of the Clover Lane Gang.

When we were very, very young, he was a most excellent friend. We lived two doors apart, on Clover Lane, Rumson. I think he touched many lives most positively - add me to that list.

To ALL who mourn Mike's passing!! He was more then just a classmate... he was my friend for life!! That's just the way it is with members of the Class of 1965!! We were that very young band of brothers and sisters scratching our way into the brave new world together ; ))! Each one leaning on the other for support, not just for high school, but for the future and, as it turned out, life itself!! He was a very unique individual and a great leader, who, like myself I'm happy to say, learned early on, how to laugh at our selves first before anybody else!! His smile and his laughter will always be in OUR hearts!!

To Mike's family: I really enjoyed being a classmate of Mike's back in the day, a fun fellow to be around, always positive & optimistic. I am very sorry for your loss. Be at peace.

Michael, thanks for the ever present smile and warmth of friendliness and leadership. I was surprised you stepped out so soon ahead of most of us, but it does make in appreciating you so too our lives.

I was blessed to have you in my life from kindergarten on through to the last reunion. Your smile, your laugh, your intelligence your leadership is how people will recall you. For me, your greatest strength was your kindness. You were one hell of a nice guy, one hell of a friend. Rest in peace big guy. Johnny Heermans
