Michael Watts Obituary
Michael Watts
AGE: 13 • Hillsborough
Michael Watts, born December, 29, 2000, passed away November, 4, 2014. Beloved and treasured Son, Grandson and Brother. A genuinely compassionate and caring young man, Michael cherished his family above everything, whether spending time with his parents, grandparents or enjoying his special bond with his younger brother Robbie. Michael was always creating, entertaining and lighting up a room. His warmth and inviting personality made it easy for Michael to be loved by all that had met him. He touched more people in his short time with us than most do in a lifetime. An avid movie buff and memorabilia collector who dreamed of becoming the next Steven Spielberg, as a young boy, Michael would often watch movies dressed in characters. Michael is remembered as a caretaker of all God's creatures - dogs, kittens, squirrels, rabbits, even a raccoon. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't ask to adopt a new pet or take in a stray.
Michael is survived by his parents, Steven and Michelle, brother Robbie, his grandparents, Madelin and Thomas Kocher and Bob and Maybelline Watts, his Uncles and Aunt, Stan, Tom and Sherrie, cousins Ryan and Kyle, his dog Eric and cat Whiskey, countless friends from Hillsborough Township School District, the Lewis School, his Youth Group at Faith Lutheran Church, Junior Raiders Track and the Chiller Theatre Community.
Friends and family are invited to join us in a celebration of Michael's remarkable life at Faith Lutheran Church, 381 S. Branch Rd, in Hillsborough, NJ, 08844 Saturday, November 8, 2014. 10 am Gathering, 11 am Celebration of Life Service, 12 pm Fellowship and Remembrance. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hillsborough Funeral Home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, family and friends consider making a donation to the Michael Watts Sibling Support Fund at Eden Autism Services. Established as a legacy to honor Michael's love for his younger brother Robbie, the Michael Watts Sibling Support Fund will support a program to enable siblings of the students at The Eden School to: better understand autism, have a forum for expressing their own needs and feelings, and empower them to become advocates for their brother or sister.
