Richard Paul Caffrey 78, of Toms River New Jersey passed away Saturday March 19th, reuniting him with the love of his life, Patricia. Their love story is one for the ages. Richard and Patricia met and fell in love while working at the Pentagon, enlisted in the U.S Navy. They were stationed nationally as well as abroad, while raising their family. Richard worked for decades at Tubesales where he made some lifelong friends. He started his career working in the warehouse, eventually retiring as the Vice President of the Eastern Region.

Richard was a devoted husband, who cared for his wife up until she passed away in December. He was also a loving Father, Grampy and Bunky. Richard was predeceased by his parents Richard and Lillian Caffrey. He is survived by daughter Vicki Decio and son-in-law, Nicholas Decio of Whiting, NJ, daughter Dawn Caffrey of East Windsor, NJ, daughter Beth Wortman and son-in-law Kevin Wortman, of Rockville, CT, his sister Ruth Verile and brother-in-law Louis Verile of Saddle Brook, NJ. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Brianne Thomas, Nicholas Decio, Chelsea Decio, Sarah Oliva, Alyse Luurtsema and Sam Luurtsema and one great-grandchild, Addison Oliva.
